The Protégé skin tightening radiofrequency technology is the latest addition to those non-surgical options and it requires no incisions and no anesthesia.
Protégé treatments are designed to leave your skin feeling healthier with a more youthful glow by delivering focused radiofrequency energy to the skin which heats the deeper layers of skin in a controlled generally pain-free manner. This heat causes the skin tissue to contract and stimulates new collagen production in the process. Results continue to improve over four to eight weeks after treatment as the new collagen is produced.
The result is smoother, firmer skin. Protégé is safe for use on many areas of the body and face, including the neck, back, midsection, thighs and arms.
Most patients can return to their routine schedule immediately after a Protégé treatment looking and feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Generally, a series of 2-4 treatments lasting 30-60 minutes will be required to achieve the desired result. The number of treatments will depend on your existing cosmetic concerns and the goals you want to achieve. Treatments are typically spaced in two – three week intervals. Since there is no downtime or special care required once you leave the office, you can carry on with the rest of your day’s activities immediately following treatment.
While most patients can achieve some improvement, this will not produce the same result as a surgical procedure.
